This is another of the Proven Winners Supertunia series, called Supertunia Flamingo.
This is a prolific flowering plant in a “flamingo pink” shade of salmon-pink. Like all the other fast-growing but smaller growing Petunias, I’m looking forward to a summer of heavy blooming.
Note to readers: This plant was sent to me by Proven Winners to test in my garden.
Proven Winners Supertunia ‘Flamingo’
It was a tough year for my gardens given the backhoes ripped them up for repairing the foundation.
That meant the gardens were destroyed and the temporary setup in which this plant was grown was inadequate for serious growing or testing.
Our fault entirely – so I’ll be hunting down this plant again for future trials (May 2014)
Trials: Planted on May 17, 2013.
Results: Like many of these fast-growing petunias, this one has been a success in the garden with its heavy flowering.
Update: October 2015. I’ve grown this plant several years in a row in my own garden – I like it and it’s always performed very well for me in both containers and the ground.
If you like the color, you won’t be disappointed with its growth habit.
Important: If you want any of these Supertunias to grow really well, you have to feed them regularly. They’re what we call “greedy” feeders. If you do feed them, expect them to grow 4-feet across (at least)
